    Capri

    Capri conjures up memories of Hemmingway, Gracie Fields, Elizabeth Taylor, and other well-known celebrities who have made their homes in this glamorous and much-loved destination. Take the cable car from the port of Marina Grande up to Capri Town. Marina Grande is a little down market and easily missed. But the rest of Capri is stunningly beautiful and worth the effort to get around there. Capri is beautiful – seriously beautiful. There’s barely a grubby building or an untended garden to blemish the splendor. Steep cliffs rise majestically from an impossibly blue sea; elegant villas drip with wisteria and bougainvillea; even the trees seem to be carefully manicured. (more…)
