Day 1 & 2
FLY TO JOHANNESBURG
Begin your journey to Johannesburg from a number of UK airports.
Your South African Explorer begins with a hotel stay in vibrant Johannesburg. One of the youngest of the world’s major cities, it was founded in 1886 following the discovery of gold and is today, South Africa’s largest city. This ‘City of Gold’ emanates electric energy, buzzing with new marketplaces, breweries and restaurants, jazz clubs, and artistic enclaves. Sample the huge diversity of cuisines cultivated by the city’s mix of cultures at the Yeoville Food Market and learn about Johannesburg’s history at one of many fascinating museums.

Day 3
Your Journey to Kruger Park
Bid farewell to Johannesburg, today you’ll embark on a journey that will allow you to admire some of South Africa’s most remarkable scenery during your transfer to Mpumalanga – Xhosa for “the place where the sun rises.” En route, you’ll savor views of some iconic sights on the Panorama Route including Pinnacle Point with its lone 30m column of quartzite rising from the forest below: and the Three Rondavels with perhaps the most impressive views of all.
Upon arrival, you’ll settle into your charming hotel where you’ll spend the next three nights. Take a moment to drink in your surroundings of lush Greenland, hear the sounds of the bush’s elusive inhabitants, and feel the golden African sun warm your skin.
Day 3 - 6
Experience the stunning African Wilderness

Day 6
Journey to Cape Town

Day 7

Bring your camera to capture some fantastic shots from Cape Point at the southwestern tip of the Cape Peninsula, with some of the most spectacular views in the world. Following the coastline along False Bay, you’ll return to Cape Town where you’ll stop to visit the Penguin colony at Boulders Beach and Kirstenbosch National Botanical Gardens whose Boomslang Walkway snakes over the forest at tree-top level. From here, you’ll visit the picturesque fishing village of Hout Bay – one of Cape Town’s best-kept secrets and see sweeping views of the Atlantic Ocean.
Day 9
From the Mountain to the Winelands
Delve deeper into the delights of the stunning city during your final day at the hotel.
