P&O Ventura, launched in 2008, and sister ship Azura (2010), aimed to break the mould for P&O Cruises' ships -- bigger, contemporary and family-friendly. The idea was to transform what many people consider P&O Cruises' somewhat stuffy ambience to one more in tune with the times -- as well as making a play for the market all UK cruise lines are chasing: new to cruise. By popular consensus, they appear to have succeeded. Firstly, Ventura is significantly larger -- by 30 percent -- than any other ship in the fleet (bar Britannia, the flagship). This means there's more room for contemporary amenities such as expanded kids' facilities, a vast spa, numerous dining venues, and lots of recreational activities (three pools, sports court, golf nets). There is also a significant change in décor: the walls are covered in contemporary art and the decor is a combination of rich burgundy carpets and cream-coloured walls: reminiscent of a five-star London hotel.

Our Rating 4.0 Good

    La Coruna

La Coruna or A Coruna, as it is also known, is the capital of the province of La Coruna, located on the Atlantic coast, it’s a beautiful, but immense city, on quite a different scale to the other Galician capitals of Pontevedra, Ourense and Lugo, and it is unique in many ways. The city is served by the International airports of La Coruña and Santiago and is well-connected by train to Madrid and beyond. The motorway network allows access to the rest of Spain and the port of La Coruna is a popular stopping place for many cruise liners.
Either during the day or at night, there is always life here. This is a city for strolling and enjoying oneself, with beaches in the city center and, with the Tower of Hércules overlooking it, a long promenade that goes almost all the way around.

    Bermuda

Bermuda. Nestled in the heart of the Atlantic Ocean, Bermuda is a captivating destination that enchants visitors with its unique blend of natural beauty, rich history, and vibrant culture. Often mistaken for a Caribbean island, this British Overseas Territory offers a distinct charm that sets it apart from other tropical locales.

    A Tapestry of Colors

One of Bermuda's most alluring features is its stunning beaches, renowned for their pink sand and crystal-clear turquoise waters. Horseshoe Bay Beach, perhaps the most famous, is a must-visit for its breathtaking views and smooth sand. Spend a day lounging under the sun, snorkeling in the shallow waters, or exploring the hidden coves that dot the shoreline.

The island's lush landscapes are just as captivating. Bermuda Botanical Gardens offer a serene escape into nature, with 36 acres of meticulously maintained gardens showcasing a diverse array of flora. The colorful hibiscus, fragrant frangipani, and towering palm trees create a picturesque setting for a stroll.

    Day 16

    Roatan

    Day 17

    Belize

Belize is a small yet breathtaking country nestled between Mexico and Guatemala, with the Caribbean Sea lapping on its eastern shores. The country is known for its stunning beaches, lush jungles, and ancient Mayan ruins. Visitors can explore the underwater world by snorkeling or diving in the world-renowned Belize Barrier Reef, or hike through the rainforest to discover hidden waterfalls and exotic wildlife. For history enthusiasts, the Mayan ruins of Altun Ha and Caracol offer a glimpse into the country's rich cultural heritage.

Tucked between the Caribbean Sea and the rainforest on the eastern coast of Central America, Belize is the home of a small and diverse nation. The country, formerly known as British Honduras, was the United Kingdom's last colony on the American mainland and still maintains strong ties with Britain.

Belize often feels like an island that drifted into Central America from the Caribbean — or never quite broke off to be with its cousins in the first place. It’s one of just two English-speaking countries in all of Latin America (the other is Guyana in South America) and the sudden change in language can feel like a genuine surprise to anyone who travels overland from Belize’s Spanish-speaking cousins.

In any tongue, this little country between Mexico and Guatemala is a real beauty, rich with its own distinct culture, but with remnants of impressive Mayan history and Latino influences too. That doesn’t mean it’s stuffy — if a deep dive into the soulful side of the nation holds no appeal, simply head to San Pedro to party the nights away.
