Launched in 2005 and refurbished in 2011, Carnival Liberty makes the most of its $500 million overhaul with crowd-pleasing options at every turn. Service is excellent onboard. At every dining venue, the staff is attentive and courteous, doing everything they can to make your time on Liberty worth every penny and every second. That courtesy flows through to every bartender, housekeeper, and deck attendant you run into.

In fact, it's as if the whole ship was designed around courtesy. The cabins are roomy and balconies a lovely addition (even if they can feel a little cramped); there are plenty of places on deck to lounge and laze and sun yourself; the entertainment options seem limitless. And the food is far better than expected, especially Pizza Pirate and Diamonds Steakhouse; the continued popularity of Guy's Burger Bar (that's Guy Fieri's burger project with Carnival) proves the ship's culinary offerings are in line with what passengers want.

Memphis - 3 Night Hotel Stay

Memphis is a city situated in the southwestern corner of Tennessee, located on the banks of the Mississippi River. It is famous for its rich musical history and is considered the birthplace of blues, rock n' roll, and soul music. Visitors can explore iconic landmarks such as Graceland, the former home of Elvis Presley, and Sun Studio, where many famous musicians recorded their hits. Memphis is a city that has forever been associated with music. Fans of Elvis Presley often visit the city to see the King’s over-the-top mansion and the recording studio where he, along with other legendary musicians such as Johnny Cash and B.B. King, all made music. When you’re not paying homage to Memphis’ musical greats, you can visit the city’s historic sites, explore top-notch museums, and indulge in succulent smoked meats. Start your musical pilgrimage at Graceland, the former home of Elvis Presley. Examine his record collection, view the Jungle Room adorned with animal prints and plants, and pay your respects at his grave, located on the grounds. Music fans can also take a peek inside the venerable Sun Studio, where the likes of Roy Orbison, Jerry Lee Lewis, and others recorded their tracks. Browse the exhibits at the Memphis Rock'n'Soul Museum and Stax Museum of American Soul Music. Educate yourself on Memphis’s history at a range of key locations. Top of any traveler’s list should be the National Civil Rights Museum, which is housed in the Lorraine Motel where Martin Luther King Jr. was assassinated in 1968. Also worth a look is the family-friendly Pink Palace Museum, where exhibits are devoted to history, culture, and science. The Slave Haven Underground Railroad Museum educates visitors on life in the pre-Civil War South.
