Visitors can take a boat tour to explore the area and see the impressive fortifications that protected the city during times of war.     Koper, Slovenia, is the largest city along the diminutive Slovene Riviera, or Slovenska obala, a sunny coastline packed with Adriatic allure. A UNESCO World Heritage Site, the old city remains the pride of the Republic of Croatia and houses the world’s oldest pharmacy.  Lantern-lit limestone alleys, pealing bell towers, and russet rooftops, ancient Dubrovnik remains a show-stopper. From May to September, you’ll find yourself jostling through crowds along its beautiful Stradun (the main promenade, in ivory-white limestone) and towering city walls.
