Celebrity Ascent is Celebrity's fourth Edge-class ship, and is largely similar to its predecessor, Celebrity Beyond, with a few changes. The 3,260-passenger ship was christened by two godmothers – Captain Sandy Yawn of Below Deck fame and her sister, Michelle Dunham; and also has two captains, brothers Dimitrios and Tasos Tafetzis. Celebrity Ascent feels like a high-end hotel, with design at the forefront, whether that’s in the dazzling public spaces, the redesigned dining rooms, or the modern cabins. The ship has a sophisticated, grown-up vibe, and although there is a robust kids’ program, the ship is geared more toward teens or couples with grown-up children.

You might notice more trivia contests, tournaments in the casino, afternoon shows in the theater, musical entertainment, poolside activities, and even special classes not offered on other days of your cruise. 
    Day 5

    Rome

    Rome, the capital of Italy and a city steeped in history, is a must-visit destination for every traveler. With its stunning architecture, delicious cuisine, and rich cultural heritage, Rome is a city that will leave you breathless. You can explore the ancient ruins of the Colosseum and the Roman Forum or visit the Vatican City to see the world-famous Sistine Chapel. Stroll through the picturesque streets of Trastevere, take a sunset walk along the Tiber River, and indulge in some of the best pizza, pasta, and gelato that you've ever tasted.

    Capri

    Capri conjures up memories of Hemmingway, Gracie Fields, Elizabeth Taylor and other well-known celebrities who have made their homes in this glamorous and much-loved destination. Take the cable car from the port of Marina Grande up to Capri Town. Marina Grande is a little down market and easily missed. But the rest of Capri is stunningly beautiful and worth the effort to get around there.

    Sicily

    Sicily is the largest island in the Mediterranean Sea and is located just off the southern coast of Italy. This beautiful island offers visitors a unique blend of history, culture, and stunning natural beauty. The island is famous for its delicious food, particularly its seafood, and its rich history which has seen the island ruled by Greeks, Romans, Arabs, and Normans. Some of the must-see attractions include the ancient Greek ruins of Selinunte, the stunning Mount Etna, and the beautiful beaches such as San Vito Lo Capo.     Crete

      Crete is the largest island in Greece, and the fifth largest one in the Mediterranean Sea. Crete is, after all, a small universe teeming with beauties and treasures that you will probably need a lifetime to uncover! There are mountain villages, mostly.
